At Dutchview, we’re proud of the diverse journeys that bring our people together. Today, we’re sharing the story of Peter, who’s been with Dutchview since 2018. As our Customer Success Manager, Peter helps our customers get the most out of Ed Controls and Flexwhere, guiding them through onboarding, building lasting relationships, and ensuring they achieve real value from our solutions every day.
‘’My name is Peter Romeijn, and I’ve been part of Dutchview since 2018. If I had to pinpoint the moment it all began, it would be that first job interview. I’d applied through LinkedIn, expecting something formal and businesslike. Instead, I walked into a conversation that felt casual, warm, and real. We talked about the work, of course, but also about people, values, and ideas. By the end, I thought, “This is a place I could belong.” Seven years later, that feeling hasn’t faded.
One of the things I love most about Dutchview is our size. We’re a small team, so every role matters. If you spot a better way of doing something or want to try a new idea, the answer is simple: go for it. That freedom and trust are rare, and it’s something I’ve appreciated since day one.
Improving processes has always been in my DNA. Even before Dutchview, I thrived on finding ways to make things run more smoothly. Here, I get to do that every day. My role includes leading the Customer Success Team, enhancing customer onboarding and adoption, and turning customer insights into improvements that benefit both our products and our clients. I also work closely with our team in Bangalore, India, a partnership that’s been part of Dutchview since the very beginning. Visiting our India office is always a highlight for me. Sitting down together, sharing meals, and seeing their world in person adds a depth to our collaboration that you just can’t get over a video call.
Some of my most rewarding moments come from seeing our work in action. Visiting a customer and watching them navigate the platform with ease, knowing we’d built something that genuinely made their day easier, that’s the kind of impact that makes the hours of planning and refining worth it.
I’m also involved in our NPS feedback sessions, where we call users directly to hear about their experiences. Sometimes they share challenges, sometimes they share praise, but every conversation reminds me why we do what we do. It’s not just about software, it’s about making someone’s job simpler and more effective.
Of course, not all my best memories are tied to big projects. The daily lunch walks through Deventer are something I really cherish. It’s a chance to chat with colleagues I don’t work with day-to-day, get some fresh air, and return with a fresh perspective. Those small, consistent moments build a team just as much as the big milestones.
Working at Dutchview means being part of a flat, international team. We have people from all over the world, and while we mostly speak English, the mix of cultures makes our work environment vibrant and open. No matter your background, there’s space to grow and room to be yourself.
Looking back, my time here has been a journey of continuous growth in my role, in the systems I’ve helped shape, and in the relationships I’ve built. We’ve achieved a lot together, and I’m proud to be part of a team that values trust, collaboration, and making a real difference. I’m excited to see where we go next.’’
