Sneha joined Dutchview as an intern five years ago. Today, she's a Software Development Engineer working on Ed Controls. In this edition of Dutchview Diaries, she shares her journey, what her day-to-day work looks like, and what she enjoys most about being part of the team.
From internship to full-time developer
"In the final semester of my bachelor's, we could choose between a project and an internship, and I chose the internship to get real-world experience." For Sneha, the people at Dutchview made an impression right from the start. "What drew me to Dutchview was the people. From my first interactions, the team felt approachable and genuinely invested in helping newcomers learn."
Coming from an information security background, Sneha had the opportunity to explore a new field. "Dutchview gave me the chance to learn web development from scratch. The team supported and guided me, which helped me grow in confidence and skill." After her internship, Sneha joined Dutchview full-time and went on to complete her master's degree in Computer Applications alongside her job.
No two weeks are the same
Today, Sneha works as a Software Development Engineer on the Ed Controls web application. "My week is a mix of building new features, fixing bugs and supporting releases, alongside a fair amount of custom report work."
Her role also involves working with colleagues across different teams and speaking directly with customers. "I work closely with my team in India and with the design team. Account managers bring in customer requests for custom reports, and I often join calls with customers directly to understand what they need. That mix of development work and customer contact keeps every week a bit different."
Growing together at Dutchview
For Sneha, the team culture is a big part of what makes working at Dutchview enjoyable. "What I noticed from day one was how open and equal everyone is. Help is always just a message away, and colleagues are happy to share their knowledge and suggestions."
And it's not just about work. "I also enjoy the moments outside of work, like shared lunches, team days and buffer days, which keep the team connected."

Seeing the impact of her work
One of Sneha's highlights over the past five years was visiting the Netherlands and seeing how Ed Controls is used in practice.
"A highlight was visiting the Netherlands, where I got to experience the culture and visit a construction site. Seeing how the work is handled on site, and watching users work with our application so easily, was really insightful. It showed me the real impact of what we build."
But what she's most proud of is how far she's come since her first day. "I'm proud of growing from an intern into one of the developers behind Ed Controls."
So, what's next for Sneha?
"Next, I'd like to take more ownership of features from start to finish, from understanding the customer's need to designing and delivering the solution. I want to keep growing my technical skills and take on bigger responsibilities within the team."
And we're looking forward to that too! We're glad to have Sneha on our team and proud of how far she's come. Here's to many more years of learning and growing together!
